ChatGPT has been banned in U.S. schools

The New York City Department of Education has banned neural networks from public institutions. According to officials, ChatGPT chews everything for the student and does not let him think for himself.

ChatGPT has been banned
  • ChatGPT can provide quick and clear answers to questions, but it does not build the critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed for academic and lifelong success, department spokeswoman Jenna Lyle said.
  • Individual schools will be able to request access to ChatGPT to study machine learning and neural networking.
  • ChatGPT is a neural network-based chatbot developed by OpenAI. Among other things, it is capable of dialog, answering questions, and writing texts on a given topic.
  • In late December 2022, The New York Times conducted an experiment in which they generated with ChatGPT the written work of students of different ages and asked teachers to check them. Teachers were unable to distinguish between student texts and chatbot work.

As we’ve mentioned before, Microsoft expects to integrate the ChatGPT chatbot into its Bing search engine. ChatGPT has been banned – how will this ban affect Microsoft’s idea?
