Google is in a panic over ChatGPT. The media write that the corporation is frightened by the success of the neural network and plans to rebuild. ChatGPT is capable of giving an answer to a user’s query no worse than a search engine. But that’s not what Google fears, they fear that users will stop going to its search engine and seeing its ads.

Google makes 80% of its money from displaying ads on its search engine. And it’s not very profitable for the user to quickly find the information they need, even without clicking on a bunch of left-handed sites and banners along the way.
Google already has its own chatbot. It is known that the company is pulling in new forces from other departments to improve it. Google also has LaMDA in its arsenal, and it’s good enough for one of its engineers to think about its life and even hire a lawyer for it. What’s left to do is to bring the LaMDA out to the public.
Google has finally felt threatened. This means that Internet search promises to be seriously transformed in the coming years.
